The commercial device industry is a $42 billion market, and AardvarQ is quickly become well-positioned to connect it with businesses throughout the country. Provider of the industry’s first configurable business-to-business AppStore framework, AardvarQ enables embedded device manufacturers to offer a unique experience to their users via a customizable online storefront and also allows them to obtain detailed usage profiles through its Web-based Device Dashboard.

The idea is similar to the way Apple offers applications, and considering the explosion of apps being developed, it’s easy to see how things set up for AardvarQ, which allows users to quickly build a software distribution channel to their devices and obtain invaluable usage profiles.

CEO Greg Quiggle spent 15 years in the commercial device industry and is vowing to stay flexible enough to keep pace with the rapid changes in mobile devices and applications. He even invested $70,000 of his own money to launch the company in 2009.

In early 2010, AardvarQ earned $100,000 from Innovation Works. That followed a $25,000 investment from Idea Foundry in the fall of 2009. The company has also entered into diligence proceedings with BlueTrue Allied Angels and other private investors. AardvarQ operates as a virtual office but hopes to move into a facility sometime in 2010, possibly in downtown Pittsburgh. The company also plans on doubling its staff in the next year.
