KE-TV: STEM-UP PA Launches to Bolster Central PA College's Female Faculty

Some of the most powerful minds in women's science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) gathered at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology last week to build capacity among Central PA women working in STEM-related fields.

The gathering served as the official launch for the STEM-UP PA program, a National Science Foundation-funded effort that involves research on gender equity issues and improved recruitment, retention and advancement of female faculty in STEM academic disciplines at Central PA institutions of higher education. The program is a collaboration between Harrisburg University, Shippensburg University, Elizabethtown College and the Innovation Transfer Network.
