It was a good year for innovation and technology at University of Pittsburgh.
Armed
with $642 million in research funding in 2008, more than 400 Pitt
innovators participated in the commercialization of university research
according to the Office of Technology Managements 2008 Annual Report.
The
figure represents a 72 percent increase in U.S. patents awarded to
innovators in 2008. OTM works with researchers to move ideas from the
lab to the marketplace.
