World’s largest freelance site, Guru.com, posts record activity

While Pittsburgh and the surrounding region lost nearly 28,000 jobs between April 2008 and April 2009, according to PittsburghToday.org, a record number of more than 107,665 projects were posted on the Guru.comwebsite, jobs that were made available to the talent pool by employersaround the world. About 1,171 local freelance transactions closedduring this same period.
