PHOTOS FROM THE EDGE: The Wild Foodies of Philly

on

While most people are focused on the fall harvest and the many tasty apples and pumpkins filling pie crusts, there is another harvest to be had.

Wild violets and poor man’s pepper are among the wild edibles that Wild Foodies of Philly are highlighting as part of their free field guide and ongoing tours that spotlight the many wild offerings found throughout the region. The group hopes to make wild plants a significant part of our diets, while expanding our palates.

The group is holding a brunch on Sunday for the first 15 people who sign up. More information is at the group’s Meet-Up site here.
