KE-TV: Pittsburgh Video Game Visionary Jesse Schell on the Power of Touch

on

It's only in the past decade that touch gaming — using your finger on a screen to manipulate a video game's controls — has gained considerable traction, particularly in the past couple years.

In this video from an appearance in Scotland at the Dare ProtoPlay conference this summer, industry expert Jesse Schell, founder and CEO of the wildly successful, Pittsbugh-based Schell Games, talks about the power of touch — something he notes we've actually been doing for 300 million years — and what the future holds for touch UI and the way we interact with the digital world. He even shows a clip of a frog “touching” a screen to play with a human.
