Bombardier Transportation,the global high-speed, high tech mover of people, hopes to build a $9million test track in Pittsburgh that could signal a future transitsystem for Oakland.
Last week the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburghagreed to file a grant for state project funding on behalf ofBombardier, which has a regional headquarters in West Mifflin. The testtrack would span 9/10 of a mile from the Hot Metal Bridge south toHazelwood.
