NJ IT firm Micro Strategies expands to Malvern, opens technology solutions center

on

There’s more for Pennsylvanians to love about the neighboring Garden State than the Boss and Bon Jovi.  This week, Denville, NJ’s Micro Strategies announced plans to expand operations into PA. The IT solutions company, which specializes in mission critical and recovery software, will be opening a new office facility and, through a partnership with IBM, a technology solutions testing facility in Malvern, Delaware County this fall. The testing facility will host workshops, knowledge transfer sessions and proof-of-concept presentations so the company can demonstrate the complex solutions they offer to clients in real time.

“It all depends on the customer’s needs,” says Micro Strategies Director of Business Development Rosary DeFilippis. “We will be showcasing a lot of high-tech storage software and management solutions. There is always this idea that people can’t do any more than they are doing but they are expected to. So we intend to showcase a lot of automation-type software and management-type software that will allow, from a single pane of glass, for things to be managed more efficiently.”

Operating since 1983, Micro Strategies has serviced clients in the Philadelphia metropolitan area and parts of Northeast Pennsylvania for years. But with a dedicated IT workforce and increased tech graduates coming from Southeast Pennsylvania universities, the Pennsylvania facilities will help Micro Strategies continue to build their client base in the region. According to DeFilippis, Pennsylvania’s tech sector made the decision an easy one for a company that could see opportunities for growth just a few toll booths away.

“We are starting off with a handful of new hires from the Malvern area and we intend to grow from there,” says DeFilippis. “We also found a beautiful location where they are building an entrance ramp and an exit ramp, which will allow our complex to expand quite a bit. We hope to utilize the Malvern workforce as we grow. But above all, we really want to be closer to the clients we are developing in the Philadelphia area.”
