We all know how well Christian Bale can scream thanks to this on-set rant as the Terminator, but you’ll have to turn your speakers up a skosh to hear him talk about his newfound appreciation for Pittsburgh, where portions of the next Batman, “Dark Knight Rises,” are being filmed.
“I’m really looking forward to filming your city,” he said during a press conference last Thursday.
Filming began in Pittsburgh last week and will continue through Aug. 21. The movie is also being shot in New York, L.A., India, England and Scotland.
While Pittsburgh didn’t apply for the state’s 25 percent film tax credit — less than the required 60 percent of production is slated for PA — it can’t hurt the chances of the credit being extended. This Pittsburgh Times story reports on Governor Tom Corbett’s pledging to extend the credit.
